The AC/DC converter uses an interleaved boost converter regulated by a digital PI controller to achieve power factor correction (PFC) and maintain the DC bus voltage at 300VDC. The DC/DC converter is based on a phase-shifted resonant converter and designed to provide a maximum 120VDC output at a power rating of 1.4kW. It has components from both the thermal and magnetic domains.
