What additional software is required to install server-based licenses? Does Plexim provide this software?
Solution:
PLECS uses the FlexNet Publisher (previously FLEXlm) license server program for concurrent licenses, which is provided by Flexera Software. The files needed for license server management can be found here: http://www.plexim.com/dstlm/
The binary packages you will find there contain these executables:
- lmgrd (the FLEXnet license server)
- plexim (our vendor daemon)
- lmutil (a tool for license server administration)
- lmtools (Windows only, a graphical administration tool)
